Paddy Nolan started out in Clontarf in 1954 as a local convenience store. In those days a bag of sugar would have cost a half penny and a shilling would cover most of your grocery expenses. You could also have expected a very personal level of service where your grocer would greet you with a smile and you were assured of quality and value together with a real sense of community.
