The response to our survey has been overwhelming in support of Nolans remaining as Nolans and it is very gratifying to know that we enjoy this kind of customer loyalty. We are very proud of our Clontarf heritage and the support we receive from our customers. Your comments were incredibly complementary of Nolans and out fantastic staff – Thank you.

As an independent grocer we face many challenges but we are working very hard to make our service the best it can be for you. We are committed in our efforts to give you improved facilities, more choice, better prices and an enjoyable shopping experience.

Our proposed extension will help to modernise the premises and improve our facilities. We hope this will be a new and exciting development at Nolans with new and exciting fresh food and shopping ideas – without losing any of our traditional Family Grocer values.

Some points in reply to your feedback –

For the majority of customers Sunday trading is not something that is essential. There is considerable support for Nolans to open on the various Bank holiday Mondays and on Public holidays. Certainly we need to open a little later during the week. We will have some news on new trading hours very shortly and we are confident they will suit our customers.

Removing the ATM machine was a huge inconvenience for customers but it was also a huge security risk for our staff. Please note that you can get more than €100 cash back any time from our cashiers so please ask for assistance as we are glad to help.

Online shopping is not a service we can provide anytime soon. We are looking at other options that may help but this will take a little time. We would like to reintroduce a Home Delivery service as a convenience to customers and we are looking at some options for this.

We will make special offers, quality and freshness improvements in all Departments.

If you are one of our seniors or living on your own, please let us know what type of product and portion size you would like and we will make every effort to supply it.

We want to say a BIG “Thank You” to all our loyal customers for the large number of replies to the survey. We are increasing our voucher draw to FIFTY x €50 vouchers so you have a better chance of winning. Good luck and on behalf of all at Nolan’s thank you for your continued support.

    Thank you to all staff for always being so bright, cheerful and chatty! Even though they may be suffering their own pain it never shows. All staff are always so approachable and indeed, you yourself Richard, have always even ordered stock that was not previously in the store! ! A chip off the old block! Long live Nolans and best of luck with new development.
